One Direction fans can rest easy... the "Perfect" boy band is not break up. Early on Wednesday (Jan. 13), reports circulated that 1D's hiatus would be a little more permanent than was initially implied, but now other sources close to the group have dismissed those claims.
According to Billboard, One Direction may be going their separate ways for now, but there is a future for Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne.
"Nothing has changed regarding hiatus plans for the group, and all will be revealed in due time from the band members' own mouths," a source said. Gossip Cop also confirmed that One Direction still lives on.
Rumors that One Direction's announcement that it will spend an "indefinite" amount of time on hiatus was just a cover-up for a permanent break have plagued the band since they made the hiatus announcement late last year.
However, the band has remained insistent that they will be getting back together. After the band's last On The Road Again Tour stop, Horan confirmed that rumors about a 1D split are just that.
Despite the news that One Direction aren't done for good, that doesn't mean the boys aren't working on solo projects. Styles has notably registered four new songs as a solo artist and there has been buzz about him pursuing an acting career. Meanwhile, Payne has been spotted in the studio with rapper Juicy J.
