Kenneth "Kenny" Carr is an internationally renowned jazz musician who has mastered sousaphone, bass horn, trombone, baritone, drums, trumpet, and piano. He is known as one of the world's premier soulful jazz trombonist and shout band recording artists.
This talent has landed the North Carolina native on stages with some of the country's top artists from all styles of music like Al Green, Bishop Ronald Brown, Gladys Knight, John P Kee, Jonathan Butler, Ramsey Lewis, the late Ray Charles, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Vickie Winans and Wycliffe Gordon. His solo projects, including Heaven, Sound the Alarm and Amazing Love have been recognized by international news and press as well as gospel artists all over the map.
He's come a long way since the litle 6-year-old boy who started playing the trumpet in his church's band and went on to collaborat with other local musicians to form a group called The Tigers.
