Apparently, Adele has major clout in the hip-hop world. Rick Ross recently praised the “Hello” singer, saying that he may kiss her when they meet. He also shared a few choice words for his rap rival, slamming 50 Cent in the process.
Ross, who has remixed Adele’s work and called her music “powerful,” spoke highly of the British songstress during a sit down with Rolling Stone.
“I love Adele,” he said. “When I see her, I may kiss Adele. She speaks for so many people. When I hear her voice, I stop and make that face and say, ’What the f*ck, man?’ I just gaze off into the sky for a second and think creatively. Even someone like myself, who’s not working toward being the most beautiful voice in the world, has to recognize it. I’ve got a beat ready for her if I ever run across her.”
Back in November, Drake shared similar sentiments after Adele stated that she would like to collaborate with the Toronto rapper.
"I'd do anything with Adele. I'd literally go to Adele's house right now and do laundry for her,” he told the Fader.
The “Rolling in the Deep” singer recently made it clear that she has a thing for rap. She sent the Internet into a frenzy when she rapped Nicki Minaj’s verse from Kanye West’s “Monster.” The track just so happens to also feature Ross and Jay Z.
While it appears, the Black Market rapper has a special place in his heart for Adele, he still has no love for 50 Cent. He described their relationship as “amusing.”
“At this point, my relationship with Curtis is really amusing, due to the fact that I’m the biggest L he ever took,” Ross said. “I’m still enjoying life. My kids love me. I’m blessed. And when it comes to Curtis, it’s just unfortunate. I’m not happy that his boxing company went under. I’m not happy that his clothing company went under. I’m not happy his record label went under. I’m not happy that he went bankrupt. I’m not happy that he doesn’t have a relationship with his son. That’s not something to be happy about.”
He did, however, commend Fif for “being able to hold his head up.”
“But to see him parading around, still able to hold his head up every day, with all of that weighing on him — that makes me happy,” he added. “I admire him for being able to hold his head up in a city that has revoked all of his passes. We’ve had a quite enjoyable past, and I still smile when I see him.”
In December, 50 sued the MMG boss for $2 million over the use of “In Da Club” in a mixtape.
