In your daily dose of WTF news, one should turn to Florida, the state that continues to deliver with some of the wildest stories. Everyone knows about fire mixtapes and has occasionally gotten burn from one or two, but an aspiring Florida rapper Volvique Louis Jean Jr. just took the phenomenon to a new level. Jean. Jr was pulled over on suspicion of reckless driving and instead of handing the police officer his ID he decided it would be a good time to hand the officer his mixtape.
According to the Sun Sentinel, Jean Jr. was driving a car on Oct. 28, 2015 when he sped into the Atlantic Community high School bus loop, almost hitting some students. He was spotted by cops in golf carts who stopped him.
The officers then asked the aspiring rapper for his license and not one to mix out on a few moments of extra fame, he decided to give the cop his mixtape instead. The cars pulled out and fled the scene, though his mixtape was left behind with the officers.
As a result of this, Jean Jr. has been charged with reckless driving, fleeing and eluding, driving with a suspended license and trespassing on school grounds.
This was a risky move for Jean Jr., not just because of all of the legal ramifications that he is now facing, but also the consequences of potentially assaulting an officer with an object at such a high heat. He is lucky his mixtape wasn't fire or else things could have gotten out of control.
Thank you based god.
