Only a few weeks into 2016, we have already gotten a plethora of new music from Future, Tory Lanez, even Lil B and so many more! Now, Hit-Boy is joining the group with his newest track, "Divine Guidance." The track, produced by Hit-Boy, @Whoarei and David "Preach" Bal4, is a dedication to Hit-Boy's mother and those that helped raise him.
"This song is a very personal moment for me," Hit-Boy tells Billboard. "From the time I started dropping my own music I've wanted to make it true to who I was and this is my most honest record yet. This song is part of a full length Hit-Boy project coming in the first quarter of 2016." "Divine Guidance" is a gospel and piano filled track as the rapper rhymes about his mother's sacrifices and the good life he is living now.
"Divine Guidance" matches Hit-Boy's current overrall mood since he just purchased his mom a house last week. The rapper released a video that showed him surprising his mother with a new home. The track plays in the background as Hit-Boy and his family walk into the new home.
The rapper dropped the track, "Yadda Yadda," featuring Wale last week and right around the holidays he released "Christmas N' Cali." The Grammy nominated producer, known for his production on the tracks "N***as in Paris," and "Clique," is really coming into his own. Along with producing for major key artists, he has produced for himself and his crew, HS87 as well as rapped alongside them. His label, Hits Since'87, is an imprint of Interscope Records and has already had four mixtapes and one studio album released under it.
You can't say anything but good things about someone that can produce, rap and takes care of his family! Hit-Boy has more in the making and this won't be the last we hear of him in 2016.
