While thousands of people on the East Coast have been stuck indoors and banned from traveling on dangerous roads, Steven Tyler and his daughter Mia crashed CNN's storm coverage during a walk through New York.
The Aerosmith frontman is in the Big Apple for a few days promoting his solo country album. On Friday, Tyler debuted his second single, "Red, White & You," on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. Tyler also planned to drop by Howard Stern's radio show Monday, so he used his downtime to spend time with his family UltimateClassicRock notes. CNN's Poppy Harlow spotted the former American Idol judge and his model/actress daughter strolling in the snow.
"I'm gonna hunker down," he said. "I got a funny feeling this storm is gonna keep us here a couple of extra days [...] no matter how much [snow we get]." Mia reminisced the times of playing in a winter wonderland with her father as a child. "He's a big kid, so the minute I got up here, I was like, 'Let's go play!'"
The "I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing" singer advised CNN's viewers to follow his example and stay off the roads. "Do not do it," he said. "It's supposed to go until 12, 1 in the morning, so there will be another foot of snow. Stay home. Two words: Hot chocolate."
"And family hugs," Mia added.
So if advice from all the meteorologists and government officials on the East Coast doesn't persuade you to stay indoors, take it from Steven Tyler.
