With his last solo album Tha Carter V delayed, Lil Wayne has been dropping music left and right to ease the wait. The internet was recently hit with the premier of "Tina Turn Up Needs A Tune Up."
Last week on "Weezy Wednesdays" the New Orleans rapper served up a snippet of "D'usse", an ode to Jay Z's newly acquired cognac.
This week he offered "Tina Turn Up Needs A Tune Up."
In the clip, Wayne can be seen in high spirits alongside his YMCMB counterparts.
From the looks of it, Wayne has ditched his "Tunechi" persona and tapped back into the mixtape Weezy that made everyone fall in love.
With every release, the anticipation for the release of Tha Carter V increases. From recent reports, it seems as though Wayne is pulling out all the stops to make this his best album.
Music Times recently reported that former Cash Money producer Mannie Fresh has confirmed that he will be working on Lil Wayne's upcoming release.
Mannie stopped by NPR for an interview with its Microphone Check show and announced the good news.
"We're actually working on Tha Carter V." - @manniefresh on working with @lilwayne #MicrophoneCheckLive," Microphone Check tweeted.
Mannie Fresh produced on Wayne's previous albums including Tha Block Is Hot, Lights Out, 500 Degreez and Tha Carter.
No word yet on when to expect the album but at this rate, Wayne should release enough tracks to hold you off.
