Carly Rae Jepsen: best albums of 2015
Jepsen took over the last six minutes of Late Night with her band (and saxophone player!). Rocking a puffy shirt not unlike Jerry Seinfeld's, Jepsen started off with "Run Away With Me." Led in by the smooth, M83-style saxophone, Jepsen was all glitz and sweet pop as she ran through the familiar track, though she kept things close to the microphone stand.
Jepsen then seamlessly transitioned to her new single "Your Type" and got notably more comfortable on stage and wandered around a bit, tackling the song unbridled passion and the sort of dripping pop vocals that she has mastered.
"Run Away With Me" and "Your Type" are the second and third singles from EMOTION, following the release and promotion of "I Really Like You."
Jepsen isn't just promoting her new album EMOTION, she's also due to star as Frenchy in the upcoming FOX production of Grease Live! The new special, which also stars Julianne Hough, Vanessa Hudgens, Keke Palmer and Jessie J is set to air on Sunday, Jan. 31.
