Robyn and Röyksopp Go Inside the Making of ‘Do It Again’ and Discuss ‘Accidental Pop Gems’

It appears that each time the Swedish sensation Robyn collaborates with Norweigian production duo Röyksopp (Svein Berge and Torbjørn Brundtland), the outcome is anything but stale. And now, thanks to an exclusive with Billboard, the trio is discussing the makings of their accidental pop gems as well as the forthcoming five-song "mini album" due out May 26 titled "Do It Again."

Inside the exclusive, the three explain how they stumbled onto the title track "Do It Again," which also happens to be the single. Billboard reports that the tune was an "accidental pop song," following an "epic night" – which we're assuming means one of intense partying.

Following its release, "Do It Again" peaked at number 16 on Billboard's Hot Dance/Electronic Songs. The other single, "Monument" has been featured as the song in a new Volvo commercial, which stands as the first time the singer has allowed one of her songs to be used in a commercial medium. However, her highly praised smash hit "Dancing on My Own" was featured in the background of a unforgettable dancing scene from season one of HBO's "Girls."

Following the immense success of "Body Talk" – which the aforementioned "Dancing on My Own" was a part of – the pop singer headed to Norway looking to work with Röyksopp in order to avoid the pressures of following up with another hit album. "I started going over there in the summer of 2013, and we started working with no real agenda." Robyn says. "It was an outlet for not having to live up to anything but my own expectations."

Well, it seems what came out of those expectations was another hit.
