Austin Mahone is just one day from revealing The Secret, his debut album, so the 18-year-old rising pop star is in full-on promotion mode. On Memorial Day morning (May 26), he stopped by NBC's Today Show to perform a trio of songs in Rockefeller Plaza, to thousands of screaming tweenaged Mahones.
Mahone kept his outfit relatively simple for the morning chat show, opting for a cool matching white pants and shirt, with a simple open black vest offering a bit of contrast.
He kicked off his mini-concert with the lead The Secret single, "MMM Yeah." Featuring plenty of swift dance moves and (probably some) actual live-action singing, Mahone glided across the stage, doing his best impression of his icons/contemporaties, Justin Bieber, Usher, Michael Jackson and Justin Timberlake.
Though Mahone isn't quite at the level of those four pop music juggernauts, the former YouTube sensation is well on his way, if all those rabid fans are any indication.
Mahone also treated the NYC crowd to two more The Secret performances, including "What About Love?," which featured many of those same seamless dance moves and plenty of radio-friendly beats.
Mahone also offered up the live debut of a new single from The Secret, "Shadow."
Mahone's first full-length album The Secret drops tomorrow (May 27) in the United States.
