As a blizzard battered New York City on Jan. 23, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band were forced to postpone their Madison Square Garden gig without a confirmed reschedule date.
Now, after only a handful of performances, the Boss has extended the highly anticipated The River tour, and included a rescheduled stop at the world's most famous arena.
The latest dates include Los Angeles on March 19 and two nights at Brooklyn's Barclays Center on April 23 and April 25. The MSG gig was rescheduled for March 28.
After spending time in the states, the "Born in the U.S.A." will head to Portugal to headline the Rock in Rio Lisboa festival May 19, UltimateClassicRock notes.
The latest tour was launched in honor of Springsteen's classic 1980 album, The River, and just ahead of the release of a commemorative box set spanning the New Jersey native's work from the same era. Springsteen is playing all 20 tracks from The River in chronological order -- something he's only done once before.
After the tour, Springsteen plans to re-enter the studio to record an album that he's teased as a solo release.
