Relationships are rather tricky. On one hand, they can easily lend themselves to some of the best times in our lives; however, the opposite is also true. Simply put: they can absolutely mess with your mind.
It would appear Tennessee rockers Framing Hanley agree because their new video for "Criminal" tells the tale of a relationship gone awry rather flawlessly.
The band's singer Kenneth Nixon singer recently told Fuse, "We've always had a great relationship with director Mason Dixon and as soon as "Criminal" was chosen as the lead single, I knew that we'd be able to come up with something really different with Mason for a video. I don't think this is a predictable video for the song and what it's about, and that's what we wanted to do: something different."
Beginning late at night inside the darkened walls of a bar, the video kicks off with a woman forwardly picking up someone who caught her eye. Lust initiates and the two continue to enjoy an inebriated night of flirting and "romance" in the bar's bathroom. Afterwards, the two end up in a tattoo parlor, where things turn ugly quick...
While getting inked, the female notices her new lover flirting with the woman behind the counter, which causes a massive fight back at her apartment – and we mean massive – and ends with her locking herself in her room, destroying everything and beating herself up. Oh, and she calls 911.
Like we said... ugly.
She finally answers the incessant knocks of her new mate, but it's too late. After opening the door, revealing her bloodied and beat up face, the police appear and subsequently arrest the boyfriend after she points to him.
