Vince Staples has been quite busy since he dropped his debut album, Summertime '06, back in June. The rapper recently released the visual, "Norf Norf," and was featured on some recent hit tracks. Now Vince is back with the visual for the track, "Lift Me Up."
The video, directed by David Helman and Dustin Lane, features Vince floating over his hometown of Long Beach. The rapper spits lyrics like, "Finna spaz cause most my homies never finna get this chance/ All these white folks chanting when I asked 'em where my n****s at?" The track, produced by No I.D. and DJ Dahi, was featured on the debut album, which peaked at No. 39 on the Billboard 200.
According to Billboard, the Long Beach rapper was recently featured on Flume's "Smoke and Retribution." The track is off of Flume's upcoming LP, Skin. But Vince has also been keeping busy in other ways. He was recently featured on a GQ segment that had him give NBA Stars fashion advice. The fashion advice? Harsh but quite funny. Here are some of the funny lines from the segment:
"Carmelo look like he work on a tug boat with that stupid-ass hat on."
"Jeremy Lin is trash... I like the Pokemon spikes, though."
"Kevin Love needs to take off the little school girl headband thing."
"Kevin Durant looks like a cool muslim... like the coolest kid at the Mosque."
