WATCH: Led Zeppelin Release 'Whole Lotta Love' Music Video for Rough Mix from Upcoming Reissue Series

It's a weird sentence to write in 2014 for a number of reasons... but, today (May 27), Led Zeppelin released a new music video for one of its many signature tracks "Whole Lotta Love."

The music video comes courtesy of the upcoming reissues of the first three albums of Led Zeppelin's discography, which will come with three new discs of previously unreleased, rare and live material. The clip, then, features a newly unveiled "rough mix" of "Whole Lotta Love," which rocks just as hard as the original, albeit with a few more trippy effects and jagged edges.

Stunning new cut of "Whole Lotta Love" aside, the new music video is a wavy trip through time. Comprised almost exclusively of live footage from dozens of Led Zeppelin's epic arena concerts over its career, "Whole Lotta Love" features Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, the late John Bonham and John Paul Jones rocking out on stage while tens of thousands of fans go crazy in fields and arenas.

It wouldn't be a 1970s-inspired video without some goofy video effects, which "Whole Lotta Love" has in plenty. Check out those crossfades, man. Real groovy!

The rough mix of "Whole Lotta Love" comes from the upcoming reissue of Led Zeppelin II. The deluxe reissue of that album, along with Led Zeppelin (1969) and Led Zeppelin III (1970) will be released on June 3.
