Those familiar with British sci-fi staple (and their significant others, whom we deeply sympathize with) Dr. Who will be pleased to find out that Grammy-award winner Louisa Rose Allen—better known as Foxes—will be making a guest appearance on the next season of the show.
"I was playing a gig and got chatting to the show's production team who'd been watching my performance," she said of the circumstances. "I was telling them how much I loved Doctor Who and next thing they invited me to be on it. I couldn't think of a better place to make my acting debut than on one of the U.K.'s most iconic shows!"
And yes, she will perform on the show. To be fair, we haven't gotten to see the new regeneration of The Doctor yet, but Matt Smith strikes us as far more capable of breaking it down on the dance floor than Peter Capaldi. Just saying.
Steven Moffat, the longtime writer and idol for fanboys everywhere, gave a few hints as to the plot points of the Time Lord/Foxes meeting.
"We are completely thrilled that the amazingly talented Foxes is joining us on board...well, you'll see," he said. "Let's just say, the Doctor is finally catching up on his phone calls."
We have, of course, already suggested a dance-off between the Cybermen and Dalek forces. Dr. Who staffers did not respond to our e-mails.
Foxes caught the ears of most Americans via her appearance on Zedd's "Clarity," which won the Best Dance Recording Grammy at the 2014 show. She will also serve as the opener for Pharrell Williams' tour of the U.K. later this year.
