Halsey Makes Explicit Changes to Justin Bieber's 'Love Yourself' During Cover [WATCH]

Halsey (aka Ashley Nicolette Frangipane) recently performed a cover of Justin Bieber's "Love Yourself" during an airing of Austalian radio station Triple J, making a change of her own by replacing the word love with another quite explicit word.

The cover was recorded for the radio station's Like A Version series, where artists are gathered to deliver their own interpretations of popular songs. Halsey also performed her own track, "Hold Me Down," with her bandmates on keys and electronic drums during the broadcast. "Love Yourself" was written by Ed Sheeran and appears on Bieber's hit 2015 album, Purpose.

The song is a sort-of farewell to an ex-girlfriend, featuring the line, "If you like the way you look that much, then baby you should go and love yourself," which Halsey seemed to harshly embrace, changing the word love to f*ck during the performance. For the young Beliebers, this may be one that you might want to cover your ears for.

Halsey appears on Bieber's EDM-inspired, Skrillex-produced album, featuring on the song "The Feeling" which has also risen in popularity since the LP's release. The two artists, who sing "Am I in love with you or am I in love with the feeling?" in unison on the studio track, had previously teased the collaboration prior to the album release in a series of social media posts.

Bieber's fourth studio album, Purpose, is currently available via Def Jam Recordings, while Halsey's Gold-certified debut album, Badlands, is also available via Astralwerks. Bieber will head out on his North American Purpose Tour this March in the U.S. and Canada, wrapping-up with a massive show at New York City's Madison Square Garden in July.
