Mariah Carey may be busy with tours and a rumored upcoming wedding, but controversies will never leave her like the longtime issue of her alleged feud with Jennifer Lopez. But Lopez recently clarified that there is no rift between her and Carey in an interview on Watch What Happens Live.
The controversy about the pop superstar's feud has been around for many years, but it was already clarified by Lopez back in 2014 that it was not true. She even added that she is a fan of Carey and that her tune "My All" is one of her favorite songs. She also said that she wants to meet the star and would even love to be friends with her, NZ Herald reported.
But during the 2015 Billboard Music Awards, Lopez was seen texting during the performance of Mariah Carey, which once again brought the issue back, including the question of why she did not attend the "One Sweet Day" singer's Las Vegas show.
“First of all, that was not fair with the texting thing. Because I watched a lot of it. It was a long performance. I watched most of it. I may have looked down for one second,” Lopez said in an interview with Andy Cohen, clarifying the issue about her texting during Carey's performance at the ceremony, according to E! Online. “So not fair! I was watching her the whole time.”
Cohen also added that Lopez skipped the Las Vegas show, but was there to watch the concerts of Britney Spears, Celine Dion, Shania Twain, and also the Cirque du Soleil.
“I think last year when it started, I was already here in New York filming Shades of Blue and doing Idol on the weekends,” Lopez said, according to Gossip Cop. “And then I started preparing my own. I don’t think there’s been a time when I could have seen it. Would I want to? Yeah, I want to see it. Why not?”
In the same interview, she also talked about why she isn't engaged yet with boyfriend Casper Smart, about her reaction to Ben Affleck’s back tattoo, and also about the butt of Kim Kardashian.
