'Sisterhood Of Hip-Hop' To Premier On Oxygen This Summer

Oxygen is adding some new shows to its roster and female fans of hip-hop are definitely going to like this one in particular. The network is gearing up to premier a new reality show called Sisterhood of Hip-Hop.

As Variety reports, the show will feature some new and some familiar femcees such as Siya, Brianna Perry, Bia, Nyemiah Supreme and Diamond.

The show will follow these female rappers as they make their way through the male-dominated world of hip-hop.

"They're allowing people to get a chance to see who we are on a personal level, but they're also giving a chance for people to see who we are as competitors and performers and artists," Diamond told MTV News.

The site also reports that the season will be made up of eight episodes featuring guests spots by Eve, Pharrell, Lil Jon, Travie McCoy, Rick Ross, Tank and Irv Gotti.

"The talented artists featured in 'Sisterhood of Hip Hop' are vibrant characters that will resonate with Oxygen's young, female viewers," Oxygen Media senior VP of original programming and development Rod Aissa said in a statement. "The optimistic and empowering nature of the show is truly unique and we look forward to rooting for each woman's success and giving fans the opportunity to follow along on their journey."

As previously reported, T.I. will executive produce the series.

Sisterhood of Hip-Hop makes its big debut Aug. 12 at 9pm. Check out a preview of the show slated to air July 22 at 8:15pm.
