Former White Stripe Jack White drops his new album, Lazaretto, today (June 10). To celebrate, the rock star made an appearance on last night's episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
The album went on sale at midnight, just about halfway through the show.
White delivered a scorching performance for the crowd with two songs off the new album – "Just One Drink" and "Lazaretto" – the latter of which was available online after the show's airing. During his time at NBC, White also sat down alongside Fallon to discuss the record and elaborate on the intricacies that make the vinyl LP so unique... calling it an "Ultra LP."
It would seem safe to say that White and Fallon are quickly becoming rather friendly. He just made an appearance on the comedian's show less than a month ago when he accompanied Neil Young, and of course, he was there last night to promote the new album.
White has been a noted friend to former Late Night and Tonight Show host, Conan O'Brien, as well. Back when O'Brien left Late Night to take over his dream job, White appeared with Meg White, as the White Stripes, as the comic's final musical guests. So, maybe Jack White has a thing for comedy, too?

And be sure to check out Fallon's interview with White, especially if you've got the Ultra LP. There appears to be quite a few tricks in there!
White recently performed on Day 2 of New York's Governors Ball.
