Disclosure Remixes Flume's "Never Be Like You" Ahead Of 'Skin'

There have been whispers of a possible Flume and Disclosure collab over the past few weeks. Earlier in the week, the "Omen" brothers confirmed that a project was on the way. Today after a BBC Radio 1 premiere, the pair unveiled their official remix for Flume's recent Skin single "Never Be Like You" featuring Kai.

Disclosure take the track and totally flip it on its head. The original had all of the calling cards of a Flume original with its slow, half-time melodic synth chords and bass line. This is tossed out in favor of a much more UK-oriented vibe.

Like some of their recent VIPs, they pitch up Kai's vocals slightly and add thumping deep synths over a jogging garage bass line with some hollower synth stabs.

This is the first remix from Disclosure in about two years. They have been a group who have focused on their own originals and had other DJs remix their own work. This remix also serves as a thank you to Flume for remixing the Settle track "You & Me," which helped to launch Flume's career. That happened about two and a half years ago.

Disclosure released their sophomore album Caracal in September 2015. Fans are still waiting on the new work, Skin from Flume expected at some time this year. He previewed the LP in a SoundCloud clip and has released a few singles, including "Never Be Like You" and the Vince Staples collaboration "Smoke & Retribution." However no further word on when the album may drop has come yet.

They haven't said when this will be released, but hopefully it will be soon.
