Anderson .Paak has seemingly been everywhere. He has been on features, late night TV, on the radio and on festival lineups. Now he was tabbed by another hot new up-and-comer Jack Garratt to remix his track "Worry" taken from Garratt's debut album Phase.
The original is a soft and emotional track about lost love and heartbreak and in that context, Anderson fits right in.
The remix is pretty straight forward - it is the original song with an added verse from .Paak. He slides in at the end for an added third verse. He mixes between singing and rapping, keeping with the theme of heartbreak and doesn't miss a beat, flowing right over the soft and ethereal beat from Garratt.
"Pick up what you left and make room for the exit / You never know what you got until it's over script / And oh baby, I hate to leave a situation unresolved and messy / But lady, you blew a hole in my chest / And now I'm reckless / I'm vexed," croons .Paak.
The combination of these two on this track will leave some fans wanting more, like an official collaboration as they go forward. Jack Garratt is about to kick off a lengthy tour of the world on the back of his album Phase and Anderson is celebrating the success of his signing to Dr. Dre's Aftermath Entertainment and his own album Malibu. He can be found this summer at seemingly every festival near you. Jack Garratt will be at quite a few, especially in the UK, but will probably be at all of them next year.
