It is perhaps New York's largest discovery gala, the Northside Festival, which slams Brooklyn's newest hubs for anything artsy this June 12 to 19.
Hundreds of bands, entrepreneurs, filmmakers, innovators and some 80,000 fans will come together in Brooklyn for an incredible showcase of upcoming phenoms in music, film, art and so on, per their website.
There will be free shows (per RSVP) at McCarren Park, which will feature headliner Thee Oh Sees and a scattered set of maniacal punk rock. Sunday will feature Chvrches and their synth-pop amalgam.
The sullenly boisterous Sharon Van Etten, will also take Music Hall of Williamsburg on Thursday, and Philly-comers The War on Drugs at the infamous 50 Kent.
