Gwen Stefani Drops New Song 'Misery' With Handwritten Illustrations and Lyrics on Video

Following her recent interview where she opened up about Blake Shelton and ex-husband Gavin Rossdale, Gwen Stefani has released another new song, ”Misery” off from her upcoming album, This Is What The Truth Feels Like, along with a video which features Stefani's handwritten illustrations and lyrics, Wilmar Radio reported.

Said song was written by Stefani with Julia Michaels and Justin Tranter, who also previously worked with the star on her “Make Me Like You” track, which was produced by the Swedish production duo, Mattman & Robin.

Despite the sad single word title, the song is actually an anthem to her current relationship with The Voice coach Blake Shelton as she reveals how her new love helped her go through her misery and sadness after her divorce with Rossdale, Rolling Stone reported.

"I'm so into you totally / You're like drugs to me / So put me out of my misery / Hurry up, come see me / Enough, enough of this suffering / hurry up, come see me," the No Doubt singer belts out in the chorus.

"Misery" follows the release of Stefani’s single, "Make Me Like You" and the breakup song, "Used to Love You,” which are all from her This Is What The Truth Feels Like album. The album, which is set for release on March 18, follows her The Great Escape album of 2006, as previously reported by Music Times.

Meanwhile, on her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live in February, Stefani revealed that she just learned about her former bandmate’s plan to form a new band.

Tony Kanal, Tom Dumont and Adrian Young of No Doubt announced that the new band (with AFI frontman Davey Havoc), has signed a record deal and is already done working on an album. Stefani said that the new band is merely a side project and that she wasn't replaced, NME reported.
