So did she or didn't she?
Iggy Azalea spoke to Carson Daly last week to addressed the comments she made about having had a “psychotic breakdown,” which appeared in British magazine Schon.
The jury is still out on whether she’s kidding.
On Daly's 97.1 AMP Radio morning show March 18, Azalea labeled herself "a bit of an exaggerator," said she laughed and said she was not "psychotic." But the rapper described dark times during which she was hounded by paparazzi and felt unable to escape the cameras.
She noted that removing herself from social media was helpful, and raised her up.
“It was very negative -- just putting me in a dark place,” Azalea said to Daly. “I already had enough going on. I had a lot of stuff going on personally as well that wasn’t anything to do with who’s dissing who or any of that kind of stuff. I had real life stuff going on on top of that. So, it was just a lot of stuff for me to handle and I think the social media stuff on top of that just kind of took it over the edge a bit for me.”
The rapper said the rough patch had a big influence on “TEAM,” the featured track on her latest album, Digital Distortion, which drops in June. “TEAM” was announced this past December, as well as “Azillion,” released in January, another part of the album.
