Will aspiring emcee Tory Lanez bash Drake in an upcoming collaboration with alleged YMCMB "ghostwriter," Quentin Miller?
UPDATE: Drake Threatened? Tory Lanez Respects 'Summer Sixteen' Diss
Drizzy seemed to diss the "wannabe" rapper in his latest hit single "Summer Sixteen" -
"All you boys in the new Toronto want to be me a little."
Lanez's 2015 mixtape is actually entitled The New Toronto.
Still, the "Say It" superstar didn't appear too insulted:
"[I'm unsure] what he has against me... I'm getting money over here. I'm good, I'm young, I'm finally in a position to feed my family, please don't take that away from me. I'm a f*cking Drake fan. Drake could diss me 20,000 times and I would never diss him" (via Revolt).
But maybe he's finally ready to seek some revenge?
During a live concert just a few weeks ago, Lanez announced to the crowd:
“One thing, no matter what, it’s always calculated" (via XXL Magazine).
Then, he was spotted hanging with the OVO hypeman's rumored industry "frenemy" at SXSW on Friday (March 18). Notice the caption:
Remember, Meek Mill initially accused Miller of penning several tracks from the explosive mixtape, If You're Reading This It's Too Late. Miller later explained:
"I am not and never will be a 'ghostwriter' for Drake... I'm proud to say we've collaborated, but I could never take credit for anything other than the few songs we worked on together."
Still, Miller isn't on great terms with Drizzy right now, considering Mill got wind of the debut Views from the 6 track right before the surprise premiere of his own viral diss song, "War Pain" -
So, did Miller actually leak the official "Summer Sixteen" lyrics to Nicki Minaj's beau, and is he now teaming-up with Lanez for an epic "comeback" collaboration?
Stay tuned. Meanwhile, Drake's highly-anticipated new album should hit airwaves sometime in April.
