Last summer, Drake was accused of using a ghostwriter for several songs from his highly successful If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late album and it doesn’t look like he’s going to be able to shake those claims for much longer. Another rapper, Mo-G, who also hails from Drizzy’s hometown of Toronto, has been laying into the Views From The 6 rapper via social media. In a series of Instagram posts, Mo-G put Drake’s manager on blast for shady business dealings and accused the rapper of stealing his style.
In a video posted by DJ Akademiks, Mo-G can be seen calling out Drake and his OVO team for not giving proper credit to those who help him in his creative process.
"Have you ever heard in the history of hip-hop, a man gives away his creativity and helps make Billboard hits, but doesn't get paid a dollar for it, one credit for it?,” he said. "Here he is stuck in the hood. That doesn't make sense. But exposing these n*ggas will make sense. F*ck you b*tch-ass n*ggas."
Elsewhere, Mo-G specifically takes aim at Drizzy’s manager, Oliver El-Khatib, who he says served as a middle man between his communication with the “Summer Sixteen” rapper. In a clip shared on his Instagram account, Mo also refers to El-Khatib as a “double headed snake” and a “culture vulture.”
He also shared his feelings towards Drake with a screenshot of messages between the two where the “Hotline Bling” rap-singer asked for a vocal sample.
Drake seemingly responded by posting an Instagram picture with lyrics from another OVO artist, simply stating, “the bright lights are supposed to inspire you not fry your brain.”
