Aww, and poor Raekwon was going to be such a happy uncle...
Yesterday (June 16), news spread across the Internet that a pair of twins were named after Wu-Tang Clan members Ghostface Killah and Raekwon... but in a not-so-shocking twist of events, it seems like the whole thing was nothing but a big ol' hoax.
As Gawker uncovered, the new proud papa Dan Lieberman wrote up a couple of worksheets saying his newborn sons were named after the two rappers and those were never really on the official birth certificates.
The photo, which went viral after Raekwon posted it on his own official Instagram and Facebook, has now confirmed to contain fake birth names. Lieberman even admitted as such on his own social media accounts.
"I got the best father day gift I could get yesterday, but this is a close second," he wrote referring to the Internet pandemonium. "And for those wondering if we've lost our mind, this is just a joke, but we'll see how far the Internet wants to carry it."
The babies' real names haven't been (publicly) revealed, but we here at Music Times are hoping for something along the lines of Andre and Big Boi or perhaps Macklemore and Ryan...
