G-Unit gets religious-ish on their new track "They Talked About Jesus." The track, which dropped Monday afternoon, calls out all those who don't believe in them/Jesus.
"This one here is for all non-believers," raps Young Buck. "They talk," Lloyd Banks adds with Buck coming back in to say, "F**k it, they talked about Jesus."
50 Cent is absent from the track, as Buck points out in the intro ("50, where the f**k you at, nigga?), but Tony Yayo is featured along with Buck and Banks.
The main idea of the track is that G-Unit probably shouldn't worry about the haters, considering Jesus had haters and look how big of a deal he is. They plan to covert their doubters just like Jesus did.
Beyond the religious imagery, the crew weighs in on the disgraced L.A. Clippers owners, Donald Sterling ("Donald Sterling think he a slave master. Turn my Clippers jersey inside out"), as well as buying drugs by the bricks and not caring about having an entourage.
As MTV points out, the George Getson-produced track is the first original track the group has dropped since they reunited, following up a remixes including "Ordinary," "Read Quick," "Nah I'm Talkin' 'Bout."
As previously reported, 50 Cent revealed that G-Unit plans to release an album in November.
