Everything involving Kanye West's 2016 album, The Life of Pablo, has been hectic, strange, and confusing for more than a month now, but it might all be ending soon. According to some new reports, TIDAL won't be the exclusive streaming service to carry the hip-hop record, even though West himself has stated that it would be. Spotify and Apple Music subscribers will be able to listen to the album later this week. So, if you haven't already heard it on TIDAL or, you know, some other most likely illegal way, this could be your lucky week!
If I could've only written the headline to this story, with some links to the sources of this news, and then only embedded the following tweet from Kanye, my day would've been much better.
Oh, Kanye. Will this tweet get deleted once Apple Music hosts The Life of Pablo, or will it remain on the rapper's Twitter account for all of us to chuckle at? We'll find out soon, I guess!
This news broke over at Mashable, claiming that, along with the big streaming services mentioned above, Rhapsody and Google Play will also have the album available for streaming this Friday, April 1, 2016. Although, is this our first taste of April Fools' Day journalism? Does it really matter?
I'll just go ahead and say that it does not matter what way you listen to this album because it's already reached ridiculous streaming numbers on TIDAL, resulting in a ton of new subscriptions to the service. You can read our previous coverage on this, with the impressive numbers, right here!
