Kaytranada has unveiled the music video for his new collab alongside the fresh face of the year right now, Anderson .Paak titled "Glowed Up," which is not a reference to Chief Keef. The single is taken from Kaytranada's long-awaited LP 99.9%.
Directed by Bo Mirosseni, the video stars Kaytranada in an odd, abandoned and Anderson .Paak out in nature somewhere, being beamed into the house through an old TV set.
The video starts out with Kaytranada lying down on mattress in an oddly decorated and abandoned looking room with a cat sitting next to him. He wakes up and goes to grab for a few other people in another room where smoke is billowing out of. This doesn't seem to be an issue as he heads in and parties with a large stack of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. He also managed to get a shapeup in one room, while also having a very large snake and spiders in the house. Might be time to find some new digs Kaytranada.
He eventually ends up outside on his mattress floating in a grimy looking pool that hasn't been cleaned in ages.
The combination of .Paak and Kaytranada is a natural fit with Kay's smooth beats gliding right underneath .Paak's effortless flow that alternates between rapping and singing.
This is the latest single to emerge from the Montreal producer's album 99.9%. It will also feature names like Vic Mensa, River Tiber, Craig David, AlunaGeorge and BADBADNOTGOOD.
Kaytranada's upcoming album 99.9% will be released in just about a month on May 6. Fans can pre-order the LP on iTunes here or get a vinyl copy through XL Recordings here.
