With the month of April officially under way, it's time to dig out your sunscreen, crop tops and shades, because music festival season is just weeks away from fully taking off. Over the next month, six of the most popular festivals in the U.S. will launch, including the ever-popular Coachella, the Memphis-based Beale Street Music Festival, the beach-side bash Hangout Music Fest in Alabama, Sasquatch! in Washington State, as well as the Atlanta-based Shaky Knees Festival and BottleRock Napa Valley in California. When it comes to music festival hype, it doesn't get much bigger than the Indio-based Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. The festival will take place over two-weekends (April 15-17 and April 22-24) and headlining acts include reunions from Guns N' Roses and LCD Soundsystem, as well as major acts like Calvin Harris, Zedd, Sia, and Ellie Goulding. On the primary market, passes to Coachella are completely sold out, but tickets to the festival bash can still be purchased on the resale market. The cheapest 3-day pass is currently up for grabs for $485, and tickets for both weekends are averaging $770.

Although Beale Street Music Festival hasn't quite reached the level of popularity that Coachella has, this year's lineup boasts an impressive slew of acts for a serious bargain. This year, artists like Beck, Neil Young + Promise of the Real, Paul Simon, Weezer, Modest Mouse, Dan Auerbach's The Arcs, Courtney Barnett, Young the Giant, Cold War Kids, Grace Potter, and Julien Baker will take the stage from April 29 - May 1 at Tom Lee Park. If you're not willing to dish out more than $200 for a festival experience, Beale Street is where to go this year, as 3-day passes on the primary market are going for just $135. On the resale market, passes for Beale Street start at just $177 for the weekend. Fans traveling to Beale Street Music Festival can secure affordable flights to Memphis on Hipmunk.com, as well as lodging in the city, where hotels in Memphis start at $44 per night.
Shaky Knees | Atlanta, Georgia | May 13-15 | Face Value: $215 | Resale Get-in Ticket Price: $399
This year, Shaky Knees Festival in Atlanta, Georgia will launch for its third consecutive year on May 13-15. Although the festival may be one of the newbies on the list, its lineup is impressive collection of major rock bands. Festival warrior Florence + The Machine will headline this year, as well as My Morning Jacket and Jane's Addiction. 72 other bands will take the stage in Atlanta, including At The Drive-In, The 1975, Deftones, The Decemberists, Explosions in The Sky and Walk the Moon. As it stands currently, primary tickets are up for grabs for just $215, while resale tickets for Shaky Knees can be purchased for $399. Fans traveling to Shaky Knees for the festival can find affordable flights to Atlanta on Hipmunk.com, as well as hotels in the area, where rooms begin for as cheap as $75 per night.
Hangout Music Fest | Gulf Shores, Alabama | May 20-22 | Face Value: $289 | Resale Get-in Ticket Price: $274
If urban festivals in the concrete jungle aren't your thing, Hangout Fest in Gulf Shores, Alabama is one of the most scenic and summery stops of the festival year. This year's festival will be held from May 20-22, and will feature acts like The Weeknd, Calvin Harris, Florence + The Machine, Alabama Shakes, Ellie Goulding and more. Hangout Fest is held on the beach, with tons of fun attractions for attendees, including hammock beach hangout spots, a craft beer backyard, a malibu beach dance house and activities like tug-of-war, a slip and slide, faces painting and more. Passes to Hangout Music Fest are currently priced at $289 on the primary market, and resale tickets are even cheaper, with the lowest pass going for just $274.

Sasquatch! Music Festival | Quincy, Washington | May 27-30 | Face Value: $350 | Resale Get-in Ticket Price: $459
Sasquatch! Music Festival is heading into their 15th year this May, and the veteran festival will feature an impressive lineup. This year's festival will be held May 27-30, and includes a roster of top acts like The Cure, Florence + the Machine, Major Lazer, and Disclosure. Comedians on the bill include Natasha Leggero, The Lucas Bros, Moshe Kasher and Lauren Lapkus. Passes for Sasquatch! are still available on the primary market, and are going for $350, and resale tickets start for $459
BottleRock Napa Valley | Napa, California | May 27-29 | Face Value: Sold Out! | Resale Get-in Ticket Price: $383
BottleRock Napa Valley is another newbie on the list, and it's already safe to say the Napa, California-based event is going to be the standout of 2016. With months to go, BottleRock Napa Valley has joined Coachella on the list for sold out music festivals this spring, as general admission passes as well as single day passes are already sold out for the weekend, which will be held on May 27-29. BottleRock stands apart from other festivals with an amazing food and drink experience. The BottleRock menu features foods from the Napa's finest chefs and restaurateurs, as well as craft brews (Lagunitas, Anchor Brewing) and wines from top-rated area wineries. The music portion of the vent is just as impressive, and showcases artists like Stevie Wonder, Lenny Kravitz, Grouplove, Florence + The Machine, Death Cab For Cutie, Walk The Moon, Ziggy Marley, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Lumineers and many more.
