While many consider Bruce Springsteen's cancelation of his 2016 North Carolina tour concert in boycott of the state's very anti-LGBT law as a positive step in the direction of change and progress, one congressman considers this move as a "bully tactic," of course. Representative Mark Walker has likened Springsteen's socially inspired boycott of the state's recent ruling to that of an elementary school student on the playground, which is kind of ironic. Check out the other nicknames that Walker gave The Boss below!
The Congressman is clearly not happy that he has to miss a Springsteen concert, or is just angry that a notably liberal artist is upset with this new law, and therefore made the predictable decision to cancel one of his tour dates.
"Bruce is known to be on the radical left and he's got every right to be so, but I consider this a bully tactic," Walker told the Hollywood Reporter in a recent interview regarding the law and the Boss (via UPROXX). "It's like when a kid gets upset and says he's going to take his ball and go home."
The Representative from North Carolina explained that he's disappointed in Bruce for "not following through on his commitments," but is brushing off the situation because he'll be able to see other acts like "Def Leppard [and] Justin Bieber," who have not canceled their respective tour dates (yet).
"I've never been a Bieber fan, but I might have to go. Maybe artists who weren't 'born to run' deserve a little bit more support," the talkative congressman-that supports the law that basically tells people where they can or cannot use the bathroom-continued.
I'm sure Bruce isn't worried too much about Mr. Walker's comments, but has made his voice heard regarding the recent law. Check out what The Boss has said right here:
