Kanye West, who had been making revisions on his Life of Pablo (album which debuted No.1 on the Billboard 200), went to Manila, Philippines to share his talents during the star-studded Paradise International Music Festival. Apart from performing some songs, he also clarified his interruption of Taylor Swift on MTV's Video Music Awards back in 2009.
During the show, which is his first concert after the release of the album, West performed "Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1" and "Famous" and he even incorporated his verse from "Pop Style," which is the new single from Drake. Said song is also a collaboration between West and Jay Z.
He also sang in Auto-Tune with the words "I don't wanna be liked/ If that means I gotta be like what everybody else like," Billboard reported. But there is no word if those lines will be included on the upcoming eighth studio album, Turbo Grafx 16 which is set for release this summer.
Meanwhile, West also told the audience that the song "Famous" helped him put an end to his writer's block " 'cause it's something I wanted to say so bad that they told me I couldn't say."
According to CNN, the "Gold Digger" singer also talked about his interruption of Taylor Swift's acceptance speech during the 2009 MTV VMA saying, "That night when I went on stage was the beginning of the end of my life," West said of the VMA incident, in which he interrupted Swift's acceptance speech to announce, "I'll let you finish, but Beyoncé has one of the best videos of all time!"
The Filipino fans were pleased by the performance of West and chanted "Yeezy, Yeezy!" asking the rapper to sing the track for the second time.
The husband of Kim Kardashian also hinted that he will be booking a tour for this latest album apart from his upcoming performance at New York City's Governors Ball Music Festival at Randall's Island Park slated on June 3-5.
