Chicago music festival Mamby on the Beach has announced its 2016 lineup. The SFX-owned festival had some of its lineup leaked in court documents, but the complete list of acts for its 2016 edition has arrived, headlined by the likes of Chet Faker, Milky Chance, Chromeo, Atmosphere, Santigold and Animal Collective.
Other names heading to the Chicago shores this summer include Lupe Fiasco, Tycho, Mayer Hawthorne who is celebrating the release of his new album Man About Town, Wild Belle, Kaytranada, who will release his own debut album 99.9% two months prior, Lido and many more.
The lineup is split into the DJ tent with underground house and techno acts and then the rest of the lineup, which has a diverse listing of indie, hip-hop, R&B and other electronic artists.
Tale Of Us, Seth Troxler, Loco Dice and Black Coffee top the DJ tent bill, while others like Derrick Carter, Hannah Wants, The Black Madonna, Marcus Marr, Steve Bug, Billy Kenny, Sonny Fedora and Gene Farris round out the lineup. Maybe Marcus Marr will join Chet Faker on stage to perform a song or two from their joint Work EP released towards the end of last year.
The rest of the lineup includes a smattering of genres. Lupe Fiasco and Atmosphere will lead the way for hip-hop, with Gallant leading the charge for live R&B.
Other DJs will bring their own electronic flavor of R&B like Kaytranada, Ryan Hemsworth and Lido, while Chromeo and FKJ will keep things funky.
The indie acts will be topped by the likes of Milky Chance, Animal Collective, Chet Faker, Betty Who and Mayer Hawthorne.
React Presents' Mamby On The Beach will take place at Oakwood Beach in Chicago on Lake Michigan this July 4 weekend. The two-day festival will occur on July 2 and 3. Tickets are on sale now via Mamby on the Beach's website.
