The one night only birthday celebration for the late rapper, The Notorious B.I.G., sold out in record time so P. Diddy added a second date. He wants this night to be just as epic as the first, so he's tapped New York rapper DMX as a special guest performer.
Diddy, real name Sean Combs, announced to New York radio station Hot 97, that he wanted to capture the true essence of the city where his late friend was from, and to do that he needed a real heavy weight New York rapper.
During an interview with the "Ebro In The Morning" crew, Diddy explained how Jay Z and Mary J Blige will make a special guest appearance at the celebration's first show on May 20 and he wanted something just as great for the second sold out show.
"On the second night, I want it to get real, real, real New York," explained the Bad Boy Records executive. "I want it to get real...New York pride in there so I called one person I know exemplifies that, and that's DMX."
Diddy believes that fans will really appreciate a performance from the "How's It Going Down" rapper because he hasn't really been seen on stage in a performance while in the right spirit and head space in a long time.
In addition to X, the reunion concert is set to bring back most of the living Bad Boy artists on one stage according to EUR. During the radio interview, Diddy dropped names of former label talents like, 112, Carl Thomas, Faith Evans, Mase, Lil Kim, Mario Winans; Machine Gun Kelly, Yung Joc and Black Rob.
Combs described the night as "a history from past, present to future."
The mogul explained to ticket holders that the show experience will be a totally different vibe from that of his show Puff Daddy and Friends. And they plan to really represent and celebrate the life and legacy of his good friend, B.I.G, Christopher Wallace, who died in 1997.
