Michel'le's story will soon hit the small screen in a Lifetime developed biopic slated for a 2016/2017 development.
Just months after the rap group N.W.A found success with their box office hit, Straight Outta Compton, one of the women just barely mentioned in the film, and the ex-girlfriend of an original member, Dr. Dre, will finally have her story brought to life. According to EUR, the "No More Lies" singer will have her story told in the Lifetime depicted film tentatively titled, The Michel'le Story.
The film is set to be produced by Sony Pictures Television and Thinkfactory Media, and will showcase the journey and struggles behind becoming one of the first platinum selling female artist on Ruthless Records. What may be excluded from the film is the abusive relationship between the R&B Divas cast member and ex-boyfriend, Dr. Dre.
As reported by The Boombox, the relationship between the two was very volatile and even resulted in a broken nose and ribs for the songstress. But, Michel'le says there's no hard feelings toward the producer on omitting their relationship as a whole from the production of the Straight Outta Compton film stating, "I'm not upset that they didn't put me in the movie... It's their movie, right? Their money."
As for her own story, the "Something In My Heart" singer is looking forward to working with Lifetime, Sony and Thinkfactory to reveal parts of her life that people may not have already known.
"I am so excited about my partnership with Thinkfactory Media," explained Michel'le. "For many years I was unwilling to share my personal experiences. I am now ready to open up about my career, relationships and family. I am confident that Thinkfactory Media will give an accurate depiction of my life and this tumultuous yet amazing journey I've been on."
