Calvin Harris and Rihanna are reuniting once again on a new track. The "Summer" DJ announced yesterday on Twitter that he was linking up with the "Work" singer on a new single titled "This Is What You Came For" that will be released tomorrow, April 29.
The pair famously collaborated in 2011 on the worldwide smash hit "We Found Love" that would go diamond in the United States (selling over 10 million copies, stay at No. 1 on the charts for 10 weeks and won a Grammy for best short form music video. It also cemented Calvin Harris as a go-to hitmaker in the pop and radio world.
He also co-wrote and co-produced another single "Where Have You Been," which garnered a Grammy nomination for best pop solo performance.
Judging by the rollout and the timing of the announcement, Calvin Harris would appear to be the lead artist on the track this time around, unlike on "We Found Love" and "Where Have You Been" where he was a featured artist and on only on credits respectively.
Calvin Harris brought out Rihanna as a special surprise guest during his set at the first weekend of Coachella to sing "We Found Love." This could have been an indication that there was more to come from these two.
No official previews have hit in the Internet just yet, but these two are known hit-makers and together should be arriving with yet another smash ready for a summer takeover of the radio and playlists worldwide. DJ Snake agrees.
