Governors Ball may end at 11 p.m. because of permits and regulations on Randall's Island, but in the city that never sleeps there will always be an afterparty. The festival has announced the full 2016 slate of afterparties that will occur at music venues across Manhattan and Brooklyn for attendees of the festival and those who aren't going to see some of the acts in New York that weekend. Among those who have been tabbed for shows include Bob Moses, Vince Staples, Albert Hammond Jr., Years & Years and Catfish & The Bottlemen.
The shows will occur at venues like Output, Irving Plaza, Webster Hall, Brooklyn Bowl and elsewhere
The afterparties will start in the week leading up the festival, kicking off with Catfish and The Bottlemen playing an intimate show in the Studio at Webster Hall. Things really get under way on Thursday with shows by the likes of Joey Bad$$ and Bob Moses. The slate on Friday and Saturday includes Years & Years, Vince Staples, Thundercat and The Knocks. Sunday will only have one show from Galantis at Webster.
