Kanye West has been a busy man with his new album The Life Of Pablo. He has been constantly tinkering with the LP, but there has been little movement on a tentative tour that would normally accompany an album of that magnitude. Though a blank website has already been devoted to the tour, little info has actually come about it. Today, Yeezy called into Steve Harvey's morning radio show and had a candid conversation about a variety of topics, including a tour, which he believes will kick off in September.
"So we gone go out in September, I believe, and we're just working on some of the ideas right now," Kanye explained.
Kanye as Kanye always does then proceeded to hype up the tour to epic proportions as something that could change the world.
He continued, "But as I said before, it's like, I'm trying to literally inspire these kids the way Disney inspired me, the way, you know, when I saw the original Star Wars."
Right now the only announced show on West's itinerary is a headlining gig at Governors Ball on June 5 where he will close out the entire festival. He does other random pop up shows and guest appearances from time to time, but there hasn't been a proper tour from Yeezy in a couple of years. He unveiled a new show at the Paradise International Music Festival in the Philippines in April, but we will see what type of production he brings to inspire the kids.
Elsewhere in the interview they discuss "Ultralight Beam" and how the feeling that inspired that song that came together only a week and a half before it TLOP was released.
"Man, I mean, we were just blessed to be in the room at the right time when the 'Ultralight Beam,' it just came through us. I can't explain that song in notes. I can't explain it in rhythm. I can't explain it in drumbeats. I can only explain that feeling," he said.
