Pharrell must be one 'happy' guy. His inescapable feel-good song has officially hit diamond status.
Singersroom reports that "Happy" has surpassed the 10 million plateau in worldwide sales.
Although the sales total has yet to be confirmed by Soundscan, congratulations are still in order for the singer/rapper/producer extraordinaire.
Vibe magazine reports that "Happy" reached the top of Billboard's Hot 100 chart back in March. This marked Pharrell's fourth Hot 100 number-one single.
"Happy" has been been named the UK's most-streamed track of 2014 so far.
Independent says streaming is growing in popularity with the total number of weekly audio streams rising from 100 million in January 2013 to 260 million last month.
Pharrell recently reached another milestone in his career.
As previously reported, he was gifted with the key to the city from his native Virginia Beach.
Pharrell received the award at his alma mater, Princess Anne High School, where he thanked his former teachers for their contributions to his success.
Pharrell took to Twitter to thank Mayor Will Sessoms, saying he was "unbelievably honored" by the gift.
Earlier this month, Music Times said Pharrell would be among this year's performers at the BET Awards.
He is also up for three nominations including Best Male R&B/Pop Artist.
He is also nominated for Video of the Year for "Happy" and Best Collaboration for "Blurred Lines" with Robin Thicke and T.I.
