Canadian R&B singer Abel Tesfaye, known as The Weeknd, announced a brief run of tour dates today through his Twitter account. On all four dates of the tour, which has been dubbed the "King of the Fall" tour, The Weeknd will be supported by rapper Schoolboy Q and R&B singer Jhené Aiko. This announcement comes just one day after Tesfaye shared a new track through his Soundcloud account, titled "Often," which has already taken the #1 spot on the Billboard Twitter-Real Time Chart.
The dates of the "King of the Fall" tour are:
9/19 - Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York
9/21 - Molson Canadian Ampitheatre in Toronto, Ontario
10/9 - Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, California
10/10 - Bill Graham Civic Center in San Francisco, California
According to Brooklyn Vegan, "The R&B singer's last time headlining NYC was a 2-night stand at Radio City," which took place back in October. Tickets are not on sale yet, but to sign up for presale access, visit www.spintaz.com/weekndsignup. Presale for the Barclays Center show begins on Tuesday, July 8 at 10:00 a.m. through Citi's Private Pass Program. Tickets will go on sale through Live Nation on Friday, July 11th.
