She & Him are now a part of the majors.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the indie duo comprised of M. Ward and Zooey Deschanel recently landed a deal with Columbia Records.
Reports say a rep from the label confirmed the deal and even mentioned that a new album is expected in the fall.
The duo has released four albums under their former label Merge Records since 2008.
In 2012, they released their best seller, a holiday album entitled A Very She & Him Christmas, which moved 391,000 units.
M. Ward, the "him" of She & Him, is also signed to Merge as a solo artist.
He is also a member of Monsters of Folk alongside Conor Oberst of Bright Eyes and Jim James of My Morning Jacket. The group released one album back in in 2009.
Deschanel is known widely as an actress. Her body of work includes Almost Famous, 500 Days of Summer and The New Girl.
THR also reports that She & Him's departure marks the second Merge act to part ways with the label in recent months.
Last month, Billboard reported that Austin-based indie rock band Spoon signed to Loma Vista.
Prior to their move, the band had been signed to Merge since 2000.
Arcade Fire, which THR referred to as "arguably Merge's most successful act," also sought out the majors to promote its latest album, Reflektor.
According to Nielsen SoundScan, the album has sold 352,000 units since its October 2013 release.
Reps for both Arcade Fire and Spoon declined to comment on Merge.
