Ciara had the fairytale wedding that every little girl dreams of and married fiance, Russell Wilson, at a castle. The ceremony took place on in England on July 6 and it was reported that it was very private.
TMZ reported that it was a small wedding of 100 guests and that everyone was required to give up their cell phones during the ceremony. According to the site, Ciara, Wilson and their guests were also transported to the secret location in order to “ensure privacy.”
27-year-old Ciara and 30-year-old Wilson have been together since last April and the football player proposed to the singer in March. Billboard reports that following his proposal Wilson shared the news on Instagram, writing “She said Yes!!! Since Day 1 I knew you were the one. No greater feeling… #TrueLove @Ciara.”
According to People, the rehearsal dinner took place at the Titanic Hotel on July 5 and the two were also spotted at Essence Fest in New Orleans where Ciara was performing.
Ciara was engaged to rapper Future before tying the knot with Wilson and shares a 2-year-old son, named Future Zahir Wilburn, with him.
Her former fiance recently gave an interview to Rolling Stone where he commented on the dissolution of their relationship, saying, “I was one step away from being married, and I feel like I failed publicly in relationships.”
He also sent a well wish to his ex, saying that he still feels “connected” to her and that he wants her to be happy and set up in the best situation so that their son is well taken care of.
