The aftermath of the Taylor Swift Calvin Harris break-up heats up as it has been revealed that the singer reportedly co-wrote his latest hit, “This Is What You Came For.” The former couple recently threw the towel in after 15 months together. It has been reported that Swift wrote the song under the Swedish pseudonym, Nils Sjoberg.
According to gossip site TMZ, the collaboration began with Swift at a piano and recording a demo with her iPhone. When Swift sent the demo to Harris he “loved it,” and a source reported that soon after, the two went into a studio and recorded a full demo with Swift’s vocals and Harris’s beats.
Reportedly the two were certain that the song would be a hit but put Swift’s name under a pseudonym so as not to distract from the music.
A source confirmed to Billboard that it is true Swift co-wrote the song as well as Harris himself, who took to Twitter to back up the rumors.
Harris confirmed that he wasn’t altogether happy that Swift exposed her work on the song, venting some of his thoughts on the matter via Twitter. He wrote that it is “hurtful” for Swift and her team to go out of their way in order to make him look bad. He further said that he believed Swift was trying to “tear him down” and that she should focus on her new relationship if she was happy in it.
