Busta Rhymes' New Track 'Calm Down' Featuring Eminem Leaks Early [LISTEN]

Last week, we reported that Busta Rhymes was releasing a new track featuring Eminem called "Calm Down" on July 1. Earlier today, however, Beats Music posted the audio to their YouTube page, so you can hear it a day early.

The track, produced by Scoop DeVille, opens with the unforgettable horn stab of Bob & Earl's "Harlem Shuffle" that House of Pain used on their 1992 classic "Jump Around." The fast-paced drum machine keeps the flow moving for the two rapid fire rappers who are ready to annihilate with their lyrics.

Busta it all off with his signature growl. "Oh my lord, lower the casket down/ Sprinkle the ash or get you're a** kicked, pow," he say. He then raps for almost three straight minutes about his ability to rhyme before Em takes over.

Eminem once more calls out those who aren't "the real Slim Shady" before waxing nostalgic.

"Don't make me go take it back to the days of old/ Of Sway and Tech radio when I was taking so much no doze and LSD, I almost fell asleep on the Wake Up Show," he says.

Basically you get six minutes of an all-out lyrical assault with Busta and Em battling in a comic book-esque superheroes style.

Busta spoke about the new track to HotNewHipHop saying, "I've got a six-minute record with Eminem that sounds like we are respectfully trying to battle each other in a way that you probably never heard us battle in our entire careers on a record. So it's lot of real incredibly golden moments for us on this project."

"Calm Down" will be the lead single off Busta's upcoming album, Extinction Level Event 2, which follows up Busta's 1998 classic Extinction Level Event: The Final World Front.

Earlier this year, producer Scoop Deville spoke about the upcoming album saying it is going to "destroy the streets of New York and hip-hop in a lot of ways," adding, "The record is something that we've been putting together for a minute. It's not like an overnight thing. We've been trying to make this THE record to bring back Busta in a major way."

The album will include guest appearances from Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, Kanye West, and Q-Tip. It is rumored to drop in November, however, no official release date has been announced.
