Dance Moms starlet Maddie Ziegler is officially joining Sia’s Nostalgia for the Present Tour, which is slated to kick off on Aug. 4 at the Crocus Concert Hall in Moscow. While she is only 13, the dancer has been a favorite of Sia’s and had a starring role in the “Chandelier,” “Elastic Heart,” and “Cheap Thrills” music videos.
The news was announced on Sia's official Twitter page.
The young dancer also performing onstage with Sia last year on Saturday Night Live, as well as appearing with actress Kristen Wiig during the Grammy Awards in 2015 according to Billboard.
Tickets for the hotly anticipated tour go on sale July 26 and general admission tickets will be available on July 29.
The Australian singer also performed with Ziegler on the Ellen show this past September. Her choice was not at all surprising considering that the young dancer was featured in the majority of the live performances and music videos to promote 1000 Forms Of Fear. It had been thought that Sia might replace Ziegler on her new album, This Is Acting, but this appears not to have been the case.
On Ellen, Ziegler donned a black dress and a wig that matched the one of Sia’s album cover. Her black dress matched the one worn by Sia during the performance, while in a slightly smaller size.
The performance was spirited and showcased Ziegler breaking fake glass, choking herself and pointing out a window while the camera panned back and forth over the set. Ziegler performed a particularly cinematic move during the climax of “Alive” while Sia wailed out the notes, executing a number of flips and cartwheels.
