Ultra Japan has announced its second phase of artists who will head to Tokyo to perform next month. The biggest Asian outpost of Ultra Music Festival, Ultra Japan is not sparing any expense with its star-studded second wave of artists. Among those slated to perform are Kygo, Tiesto, deadmau5, Martin Garrix and Hardwell. Among the big names in the second phase are dubfire, Knife Party, the aforementioned Kygo and ZHU.
Other names added to the lineup in phase two include Galantis, Carnage, Gryffin, Ultra Music Festival mainstay Fedde Le Grand, W&W and Shogun. The resistance stage, where techno and house music lives, comes back into play and is populated with various DJs such as Matador, Technasia, Yotto, Nic Fanciulli and Art Department.
Ultra Japan draws upon a strong base of local acts to help fill out the lineup over its three days, though the main draw remains international talent. A third phase of acts will be announced in the coming weeks.
Ultra Japan enters its third year and second as a three-day festival. In the past it has hosted other DJs like Skrillex, Axwell / Ingrosso, Alesso, Chase & Status, Steve Angello, Kaskade and Mark Knight.
Ultra Japan will take place from Sept. 17-19. The action will go down in Tokyo's Odaiba Ultra Park. Tickets are on sale now for the festival via the Ultra Japan website.
