Busta Rhymes officially dropped his Eminem-assisted track "Calm Down" today, but another rapper is claiming it rips of one of his horn-driven beats, Radio.com reports. Genesis LXG took to Twitter to question the similarities between "Calm Down" and his own song "House of Pain," which dropped back in March.
In a series of tweets, Genesis wrote, "So dude jacked by beat and give it to Eminem and Busta #Jacked" and later questioned if it was all just a coincidence or plain theft on the part of producer Scoop DeVille.
Now on the second day of his search for justice, Genesis took to Facebook to further prove his point.
"Day 2 still tight about this tho. Good to see the internet is recognizing how suspect this situation looks," he wrote.
Neither Busta, DeVille, or Eminem have responded to Genesis' accusations, and it is unknown whether legal action will be pursued.
As Radio.com notes, however, House of Pain's frontman, Everlast, tweeted that he was aware of the track. He said he had known about the song for a while and even did a verse for an upcoming remix. He also noted that "for the record I think [the track] ridiculously banging."
