Young Buck, a member of 50 Cent's G-Unit, has been sentenced to spend 7 months in federal prison just 10 days after he was released. According to reports, he was given the sentence for violating the conditions of his probation.
Shortly after receiving his sentence on Wednesday, Young Buck, also known as David Darnell Brown, took to Instagram to tell his fans about his situation. He also said in his post that he will miss his family and his G-Unit friends 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo.
Brown's sentence was officially announced by U.S. Attorney David Rivera of the Middle District of Tennessee. According to Rivera, the rapper violated several terms of his probation and supervised release.
In 2013, after getting arrested for gun possession, Brown was granted a supervised release for three years. However, during this period, he failed to follow the conditions of his probation after he submitted a fake urine sample for a drug test in 2015, Billboard reported.
Brown was supposed to spend five years in prison because of the misdemeanor but his sentence was reduced to 100 hours of community service, 18 months of probation and a fine of $7,500.
In March, Brown was brought to court after he allegedly threatened the fiancée of his ex-girlfriend. Although he was not detained at that time, he was ordered not to violate any law until a final hearing for his first violation has been settled.
Last month, he violated this condition when he was arrested for reportedly threatening to burn down his ex-girlfriend's apartment, according to Complex. He was released on Aug. 1 on a bond of $5,000.
His ex-girlfriend then filed for a protective court order that prohibited the rapper from directly or indirectly contacting her. However, according to authorities, Brown still contacted her despite the conditions of the court.
