Old folk may not understand the new lingo youngsters are tossing around these days but that's fine. Late night host Jimmy Kimmel sympathizes and is here to help them out alongside R&B's Trey Songz.
Last night, the comedian had Songz on to perform his hit "Na Na," and in understanding the language barrier between young and old the Jimmy Kimmel Live! host chose to help blur the lines through his segment New Lyrics For Old People.
Simply put, the bit translates lyrics from today's songs for older generations. Easy enough, right?
Check out the video below:
Translating lines such as, "Oh na na, look what you done started" to "It appears that with 'na na,' things are headed in a sexual direction," or "Oh na na, why you gotta act so naughty?" to "I question why you behave inappropriately even though I am aroused," the hope is that old people can now mingle freely with the hip youth of America. Or, at the very least, have some sort of clue as to what the hell they're talking about.
So, what did we take away from this round of New Lyrics For Old People? Basically, Trey Songz is quite talented in the bedroom. And it looks as if we're not the only ones who believe it. The host himself commented, "He's very good at sex! And he's saying you're really going to enjoy this!" He even gave the R&B singer a friendly moniker –– officially tagging him the "Michael Jordan of sex."
